Residence permit to do European Voluntary Service
General information
The European Voluntary Service is part of the EU programme Erasmus+ YOUTH IN ACTION. It enables adolescents and young people aged between 17 and 30 years to take part in a not-for-profit project abroad. During this programme, they are integrated into the everyday life and working life of the host country, thereby collecting new ideas, perspectives and experiences. The European Voluntary Service can teach young people valuable skills and provide them with a personal and occupational focus for the future.
As a participant in a EVS programme, you are issued a residence permit for the duration of the voluntary service for a maximum of one year.
You can find further information in the Brochure of the agency "JUGEND für Europa" (in German) and on the European Youth Portal.
