Inline skating
In the area of Leipzig are plenty possibilities for inline skaters. The city offers some courses for example around the Clara-Zetkin-Park, the Cospuden Lake and the New Fair exhibition center. In 2013 the German Inline Skate Half Marathon Championships were held in Leipzig.
Inline skating: Anton-Bruckner-Allee in Clara Zetkin Park
Together with the Nonnenweg section, the available course in Clara Zetkin Park measures approx. 3.7 kilometres. Both roads lead through natural surroundings, are located centrally and are protected from the wind. There are parking facilities at the western roundabout of the Anton Bruckner Allee, and there are three places to eat in the immediate vicinity. Because of the intersections and popularity of the area with children, pedestrians and cyclists, in-line skaters need to exercise special care and accordingly the route is not suitable for speedskating. However, on sunny days it's ideal for those who wish to see and be seen.
There are plans to link the route to the southern district of Leipzig.
The Kelchsteinlinie along the shore of the Cospuden Lake
The Brückenstraße car park, which is intended for visitors to the north shore of the Cospudener See, provides generous parking facilities and is therefore the ideal location for the start of the approx. 14 km long circular route, which features tarmac almost all the way (note: the intersection between the Kelchsteinlinie and the Uferrundweg has rough cobblestones). Along the Uferrundweg which takes you around the lake you will find restaurants which are open seasonally or all the year round. Special care has to be taken in the area of Zöbiger harbour, at the eastern end of the circular route, because there are always lots of pedestrians and cyclists on the promenade. The route is only suitable for speedskating in certain sections, and outside of the summer season. There are plans to link the route to the inner city of Leipzig.

Skateboarding
In September 2009 the Urban Souls e. V. club opened its Heizhaus sports facility in Leipzig-Grünau with Germany's official skateboard championship. This youth centre for skateboarding and dancing is right next to the BMX and Skate Park in Leipzig-Grünau, at the end of the Parkallee seen from Lützner Straße.
Since 2013 the Heizhaus has also offered an outdoor park with ramps for skateboarders. Its construction was sponsored as part of the "Spielraum" programme by the Deutsche Kinder- und Jugendstiftung, among other partners. Further bike and skate parks are located at Richard Wagner Platz, in the Rabet district, in Reudnitz, in Clara Zetkin Park and at the Conne Island leisure centre.
